J2EE Consultant

We are looking for a highly effective J2EE Consultant to join our team. This person will be required to offer solutions to problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment within defined practices and policies. This key member of our team contributes to the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modeling, development, testing, and implementation. This a 50% +/- travel position, much less than most consulting firms typically require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced-level development skills to client engagements
  • Provides strong testing, debugging, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency with at least one development tool/technology
  • Independently manages individual time and tasks

Required Skills

  • One to four years + in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive design
  • Knowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: JSP, J2EE /JEE, EJB, Websphere, Weblogic, .NET, HTML, DHTML, XML, SOAP, Javascript, MVC patterns, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, CORBA, COM / DCOM
  • Ability to define, create, and complete a technical task without a great deal of guidance
  • Experience in Full lifecycle software development processes and methods
  • Ability to thoroughly unit test all work and deliver an error-free technology component to the team
  • Ability to articulate a vision of the total solution

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Certifications, Licenses and Additional Requirements

  • None required; a technical assessment will be administered to qualified applicants.

Travel Required

  • 50% more or less depending on project; candidate should be comfortable with some travel and overtime as client commitment requires.
